Guelph 50.00

About The Project

Topographic survey & culvert inspection of the south portal of the concrete culvert at Guelph Mi. 50.00.

The south side of the culvert exits from the City storm system, and a survey and culvert inspection were required to facilitate the design of an extension of the existing structure.  The topographic survey captured the concrete structure, gabion baskets, fence lines with the corridor, and other pertinent features.  The client coordinated utility locates in the adjacent rail corridor, which were surveyed as well.

Groma’s utility locates subcontractor was on site to locate the existing pipes for the main culvert opening, as well as smaller drainage opening on the concrete wall.

A culvert inspection of the main opening was completed earlier in the summer for a different Metrolinx project.  While on site for this survey, the team did an inspection of the smaller opening adjacent to the culvert.

The client received the survey points list, base plan drawings and video of the culvert inspections.
